Guest Speaker: Daoud Nassar
About Tent Of Nations:
Located on the family farm in the countryside near Bethlehem in the West Bank, the Tent of Nations is surrounded on three sides by Israeli settlements and one side by the Palestinian village of Nahalin. With a mission to build bridges of understanding, reconciliation, and peace between people, the Tent of Nations has a sign at the entrance to the farm proclaiming "We Refuse to be Enemies." Nassar will discuss the Tent of Nations, the Israeli occupation and process of land confiscations, including the attempts at taking his family's farm, and the journey of his family since 1916 as they have sought to live creatively in the midst of an increasingly violent situation.
Renowned peace activist, Daoud Nassar will be gracing LaSalle with his presence, as one stop in his journey around North America. Join us as we discuss and Learn about the Tent of Nations and this man's pursuit of peace. Please RSVP to help us plan for seating and refreshments.
