The LaSalle Senior Center responds to the spiritual, physical, emotional and relational needs of older adults. LaSalle Senior Center serves hundreds of older adults through our Wednesday Activity & Lunch program, Sunday Morning Breakfast program, Flower Delivery program to the homebound, Offsite programs and Group Trips. Spring 2010 – Volunteer at the Greater Chicago Food Depository Help raise food credit for the Senior Center by volunteering at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. For every volunteer hour you serve, the Center will receive a $5 credit towards our food account that supports Wednesday lunch and Sunday breakfast. Contact Jan to be added to the volunteer list. Date TBD.
May 2010 – “40 Year Anniversary Celebration” Join a committee to plan our 40 Year Anniversary Celebration. The event will be held in May 2010. Opportunities to serve on the following sub-committees: 1) Sponsorship 2) Marketing 3) Invitations/List Management 4) Logistics 5) Finance/Budget. Meetings are currently underway! Contact Jan for the next scheduled meeting.
New Opportunity in 2010 – LSC Chef Council Have a flare for food? Looking for a way to share your talent? LSC is forming its first ever Chef Council. The Chef Council is led by Jacquie DiPego, LSC Board Member and Chef Derris Cole, LSC Chef. The Council is currently in the planning phase. Contact Jan to be added to our interest list.
