Our mission at LaSalle Street Young Life is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.

The road through life is filled with endless possibilities. There are places to go and landmarks to celebrate. But sometimes, the road is not smooth. Young Life joins middle school, high school, and college students on their journey - offering them positive and life-changing experiences to help them find their way. We believe that these students deserve to know what life can hold for them. So Young Life leaders enter the world of kids to share hope while building meaningful friendships. In doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to kids about what matters most of all - the truth about Jesus Christ and His love for them.

LaSalle Street Young Life holds a prominent place in the history of the organization. It started in 1972 and was the first urban Young Life area out of the 620 multicultural ministries around the county today.  Although the area was inactive for about five years, it is up and running again as of September 2010. We currently serve in two schools: The Cornerstone Academy and Walter Payton College Prep.  Young Life looks forward to expanding into Wells Community Academy and Lincoln Park High School in the future.
