This Summer at LaSalle!
Go! Live! Make a Difference!
New sermon series beginning Sunday, May 5
Directly after the Resurrection, the early church experienced great tumult and greater flourishing. Some sold everything they had. Others were inspired by the anointing of Pentecost and packed up everything to set out for other lands. All of them felt a freedom to dare greatly.
Go! Live! Make a Difference! begins May 5. We will consider the ways our faith interacts with authority and freedom, possibility and responsibility. Is our life’s mission and purpose defined by rules and constraints, or is it inspired by opportunity and promise? Join us as we seek to be people with the internal freedom to live as God intends us to live.
Community Potluck & Schedule Switch
Sunday, June 30
Our pitch-in potluck is a great way to connect with LaSallers around good food and good fellowship. This is also the first Sunday with our summer schedule of one worship service at 10:00 AM. Come to the potluck in Leslie Hall directly after the service!
Pilgrimage to Washington, DC
We will be traveling to Washington, DC as a part of our churchwide conversation about race and equity. The key point of our trip will be visiting the newly-opened National Museum of African-American History and Culture. This will be a sobering meditation on the history of race in the United States, and how the church engages with these topics together in the world, and in our own lives.
