Our Shared Ministry, Our Shared Future

LaSalle friends and family -

This time of year is pregnant with the beauty of Advent, full of the work it takes to juggle the holidays, and shaped by the shifts of a new year's endings and beginnings. I pray you're finding spots of joy, and connection, and hope through it all. This is also the time for a few reminders about our Feb Congregational Budget Mtng, year-end giving, and the making a pledge toward the 2026 Budget before Dec 20th.

We've had so much goodness happen together this past year, even in the midst of a challenging political landscape and various losses and shifts - the great news is that our community is still growing in many dimensions! A few highlights are in the linked document; I hope you can take a look and notice areas you participated in or were impacted by in 2025. I still think fondly about our Serve Sundays with Breakthrough/The Resurrection Project/Breaking Bread, a packed and profound Easter Sunday, the Women's Retreat where many of us shared our stories, baptisms this summer, and our growing group of kids and families often leading us up front in worship - and there's so much more. Thank You to all who have given your presence, prayers, and your finances toward so much shared common ministry!

As we turn toward the new year, I want to highlight a few reminders:

  • As you complete your year-end giving and previous pledges, please date all gifts by Dec 31; you can contact our Finance Coord Katie with any questions related to this (info added).

  • I also want to remind you to consider making a financial pledge to help our staff and Elders in our budget planning process; our goal for the near year is 10X10 - 10 new and 10 increased pledges, at any amount, however fits you and what you are able to give, by Dec 20th. If you've already pledged, thank you! And if you're considering, know that we appreciate and depend on these common gifts to grow our ministries together.

I also want to invite you to save the date now for our Congregational Budget Meeting coming up on Sunday Feb 2nd after service, complete with lunch together afterwards and childcare provided. And if you have any questions or thoughts about our budget process, or pledging, please feel free to reach out to me directly - or to contact Katie for detailed pledge, online or paper, dividends or bequests, or any other form of giving questions.

Thank you LaSalle for all you've been a part of in 2025 and for your presence, prayers and giving toward the new year ahead.

Gratefully - RevLiz
